Front Side view

  • Vauxhall Special Edition Antibes Nova.
  • With a Vauxhall Nova 1298cc, 4-cylinder, 8 valve carb engine conversion (E reg - 1987).
  • Fully rebuilt head and de-coked.
  • Fitted with Weber 32/34 Carb and matched manifold.
  • K&N air filter.
  • Nova SR manifold and down-pipe.
  • Peco exhaust system with Big Bore 3 back box.
  • Matt-black rocker cover with polished vanes and oil filler cap.
  • Silicone performance ignition leads.
  • 5-speed box.

  • Colour coded custom-made SR/GTE grill with galvanised steel square mesh.
  • Colour-coded mirror housings.
  • Colour-coded door handles.
  • Mirrors up-graded to internal adjust (remote control).
  • Standard Nova bumper top-section, with Corsa A GT lower valance.
  • Secret lower splitter - guess where it came from.
  • ABC Design clear front indicators and oval side repeaters.
  • Tinted rear indicators and reverse lamp.
  • Did have MKII Cavalier SRi side-skirts, but now replaced with Nova GTE/GSi side skirts.
  • Rubber door strips removed.
  • GTE back-bumper lower lip spoiler.
  • Standard Antibes tailgate spoiler.
  • Standard Bronze tinted windows.
  • Webasto Top-slider, slide and tilt sunroof (Fun to fit!).
  • SR window surround trim.
  • SR front and rear Anti-roll bars.
  • MKII Cav front brake calipers and vented disks.
  • Puma Lowering springs -35 to -40mm, standard shocks.
  • MKIII Cav GSi 15" alloys with Hankook Ventus 195-45-15 tyres. Steel 13" spare.
  • Partially de-badged.

  • Standard Antibes red and grey interior including red carpet.
  • Door top trims to cover bare paint, and matching rear panels.
  • Electric windows with door-pocket mounted switches.
  • Alloy/carbon foot pedals.
  • Good old Halford leather gear knob!
  • Six-clock dash from old GL model, inc. Battery voltage and oil-pressure, with custom-made white faces, but all now replaced with Astra GTE 8v digital clocks.
  • Custom white-face clock, with car picture.
  • Carbon detailing.
  • Re-positioned ceiling light - moved to sunroof internal surround, which covered original position.
  • Foot-well lights, boot-light and glove-box light.
  • MKIII Cavalier front and rear head rests.
  • Standard Antibes Sports steering wheel (same as SR/GTE).

  • ICE
  • Sony CDX-4100RDS head unit.
  • Boschmann PR-9660NX 6x9's in rear shelf.
  • Boschmann MB-52XT Component set in front - 5 1/4" midwoofer, 1" dome tweeter and 2-way passive crossovers.
  • Sounds amazing, especially when you consider how cheep they were!

  • Cat II Immobiliser.
  • Alarm.
  • Other bits and bobs for me to know!

  • Further body repairs - rear arches, under front arches behind head-lights and a couple of other odd blemishes.
  • Possible polishing of wheels.
  • Twin-choke Weber carb, or pair of 40's/45's what ever is suitable, to replace current 1.2 Pierburg single-choke!
  • Up-rated shocks, such as Spax etc.
  • I may look for colour-coded GTE bumpers, but I'll see. I like them grey as well, so can't make my mind up.
  • Sell it, and get a GTE!
